Yellowjackets!

So as you can tell I'm really diggin photography after 2 whole days of owning a nice camera. I have even decided to take back all the average lenses they sold me and get more serious about this hobby!!.....I chatted it up with Kam, who's a pro at this, and she gave some good tips about lenses,etc... So this is the last pic you will see with these average lenses....IMA go get a nice one =)

What ev, Chad. That picture you took is great with the "average" lens. I'm so jealous.

Hey Dori....gotta Canon Rebel XTi. It came with all the average lenses and so I'm going to take back the lenses, keep the body, and try and get a 35mm EF Prime lense F1.4/L....but man they are $$$..so we'll see. I took most my pics with a 50mm prime, but that was a cheap prime lens....I want a better one and really go for quality along with some photoshop love of course ;)

I almost got the D80...it was an even toss up between that and the Canon. Sooooo....I love the style of pics you take, you need to let me in on your photoshop/pic taking secrets =)

What a great hobby!

I wish I had more time to learn more about my camera...you'll just have to give me some pointers. Id love to learn to take good sport pictures... especially since footballs going on!

Thanks Chad! One thing I found with lenses is that if you buy the digital only lenses they are less expensive, and they weigh less (that really gets to be a factor with long lenses!) They do get expensive though...
And I use alot of Kevin Kubota's photoshop tools. While i could do it all manually, he has some nice pre-made actions that just work so much faster. Lots of corrective actions as well as "artistic" stuff that is very fun!

It is a fun hobby - and a great way to make memories of your little ones growing bigger ;)
